About Us

Bernard Granor, Esq.

Bernard Granor established our companies in 1952, opening Merit Realty Co. and the Bernard Granor, Attorney offices in the street level of his parents, Esther and Charles Granor’s, basement in Philadelphia’s Fern Rock section.

Working closely with his parents (Esther was Bernard’s legal secretary and Charles sold homes for the real estate company), Bernard expanded the law practice and brokerage company into the many-faceted enterprises of the Granor family you find today.

Bernard’s leadership for five decades has set the tone, teaching us to treat each client and customer as we would want to be treated ourselves.

Throughout his career, Bernard Granor has given back to his communities, by serving in leadership capacities for civic, professional, religious and charitable organizations.

Marshal Granor, Bernard’s son, joined the company at birth.  He grew up in the real estate world by accompanying Charles on house showings from age 4.  Marshal worked summers in the office, learning all about real estate law and representing the interests of buyers and sellers; tenants and landlords.

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University School of Law, Marshal joined Bernard and Esther in their real estate endeavors.
